Dear Diary Day 12,
I want to start off by saying sorry for not updating in so long T^T
Life can really get in the way sometimes. before I was beyond swamped π΅βπ«π΅βπ«π΅βπ«
I was covering for people, and training lots of people, and trying to take care of Dona, I was even given many jobs, all at the same time! It was a great learning experience but I am spent so for today’s post I want to fresh and share my experiences as a teacher instead of a full on trainer.
Up to this point I have had only trained member of my staff,
This was my first actually student. His name is V and 1 full year earlier he’d had won a giveaway of a free latte art class with my teacher but unfortunately my teacher has not been available since he is not currently in Vancouver. So as a replacement I was selected!!!
I was worried that my communication skills were not good enough to teach and that I myself was not worth enough.
To combat these fears I spent many days and hours researching and planning for today!
For starters, I used Google and Instagram to find the words to convey what I want my student to understand and intern learn my from my guidance.
Second I was worried I would lose track of what I was doing and lose attention and then come off as unprofessional. So to fix this I created a detailed plan with notes and hand drawn diagrams of how and what I was teaching. It is easier to follow then to lead so I made a good plan, and followed my plan!!!
Here was my plan and my notes for my student.
The class went extremely smoothly!!! And I can definitely say
I am so very proud of my student today !!!!βΊοΈπ«Ά I am so happy to see his progress through our lesson! I hope my lessons can stay with my students for a lifetime and that when they see a cup of coffee, it will remind them of there silly teach Juu from Wicked CafeβοΈπ
I had an excellent time and I felt I was in the right space.
I am not sure what is in my futures cards but maybe I will consider holding more latte art class π€ please let me know what you think and maybe I can pitch it to my manager π€£π€£π€£
Thank you very much to my students today π«Ά
For today’s menu I want to talk about the amazing item!
The Winnie The Pooh Honey Jar!!!
It is a vanilla pudding with wafer cookies and house peach syrup.
We make them in extremely large quantities and freeze them.
We defrost a dozen the night before even day and to Garnish with add a bit more peach syrup, 3 Honeycomb cereal bits and a honey stick! The most important part is to make sure it looks pretty π
That’s all for today! Thank you for sticking with me I promise to keep updating!!!!!!!
