Vancouver, my home land between the mountains and the ocean~ here in this Canadian city we are known for being a very international city! And sushi has been a town favorite cuisine for many years!!!
So for today I will be sharing my experience trying a new sushi spot that I tried for the first time today.
This is TonTon Sushi on cambie
So first off the location is super convenient for! It’s right in the middle between my home and work. so after my shift today I just hoped on the train and I was there since it’s just 1 block off the King Edward Station 🚉
The shop was nice and the booths were comfortable and the lighting was not too bad.
here is the menu!
And for myself I ordered 3 items today!!!
1)Chef special
Aburi Atlantic Salmon with onion sauce nigirl
$3.95 for 1piece
2) tonton Sashimi
Sockeye Salmon Carpaccio
$16.95 for 6piece
3) Tonton roll
Vancouver Island roll
$13.95 for 8 rolls
My favorite was the Chef special nigirlIt was a very big juicy piece and the flavor was delicious
The Ton Ton sashimi that I got was
Salmon sashimi with slice of Avocado on top with sauce and lots of Garnish. It was pretty and was good for its price, but not great quality sashimi and I was a little over it after the 4th one.
But I can say I wouldn’t get again but I would still want to try something else on the menu.
Finally the roll was yummy and I liked how half was one miso flavor and the other half was spicy mayo. Those are 2 flavors I like and the torch really gave it another great layer of flavor. For the scallops on top, I could taste through the sauce and all that it didn’t feel or taste like a 100% scallops 😅 but I can’t be for certain.
Overall I enjoyed my time and the food was great at a great price, and very prettypresentation. I will visit again and try some other menu’s they had👍👍👍
Thank you for reading my review!!!
