Dear readers today I am writing about how I got dinner and a movie by myself.
So where to begin, π΅βπ« I guess I’ll just start by saying I really enjoy my solo adventures. I can be quite introverted, especially on my days away from work. So this evening is really my cup of teaπ!
So it all started at 5:30 when I headed up to Metrotown and bought my ticket to see Deadpool & Wolverine.
The ticket was $28.51, for row: C, seat: 8 at 7:20pm, theater room #9, view: 3DX 4DX.
I’ve been visiting this theater since I was a child but the last time I was here was back in 2016, so the price surprised me a bit. But it does make sense since last time I was here the seats didn’t move π
So this was also my first time getting tickets to a show in 4DX! I was pretty cool but I will get more into it later!
Moving on wards, I had dinner before my show and since it was such a hot summer day today I went and got a boll of Korean Cold Noodles π!!!
It really hit the spotπ€€ and I have been craving cold noodles for weeks now and it was perfect!
After I finished my meal I rush back over to the theater.
If you are wondering this is what the Metrotown Vancouver cinnama looks like
I got my snacks and headed to my movie.
I watched the movie in 3DX/ 4DX which just means I had to wear 3D glasses
and sit in a tall chair that moved during the movie because the motion between the chair and the on screen action was linked.
4DX also included fans to increase the Immerseve feel.
Which furthermore made watching this action packed film more fun and almost like you were right there in the movie.
Unfortunately the film for me, would have to be about 3 stars.
the movie is part of a franchise and I must say this was a lot of missed potential. It’s a 2 anti-heros teaming up to save the universe.
There was a lot of things i did love about the movie, like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
The cinnamatography and CGI was very well executed, very amazing work and acting.
But the story and plot was lacking and a few of the bits were just not landing for me. The whole story felt like an after thought, and it all feels like a jumbled up mess of disconnect scenes.
The main actors are both amazing and talented but there conversations feel very forced and repetitive. Also I have to say a few too many cameos, swears, and breakingthe 4th wall….. like I loved those last 2 things very much in the previous movies but it was way over played in this movie.
I wish I could say I loved it but I would not watch again.
Oh but dont worry I still had a great night! And I can’t wait for my next night out!!!
Thank you for reading!!!!
