Quick and Easy Fried Rice: A Beginner’s Guide

Easy 15 minute fried rice recipe for beginners.

Look no further than this easy-to-follow fried rice recipe!

Perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends, this dish is a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic , minced
  • Oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • Chopped cha su (Chinese BBQ pork)
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce

Instructions:

1) Heat the Wok: Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil.

2) Sauté Aromatics: Add the green onions and garlic to the hot oil and stir-fry for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant.

3) Cook the Eggs: Pour the beaten eggs into the wok and scramble them partially. Leave them slightly runny so they can combine well with the rice.

4) Add the Rice: Add the cold cooked rice to the wok and break it up with a spatula. Stir-fry until the rice is heated through and slightly crispy.

5) Flavor Boost: Add soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste. Stir to combine.

6) Top with Cha Su: Add the chopped char siu and stir-fry for another minute.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
